This is possibly my most favourite song ever. Within its fateful notes it carries the most significant memories of my life. It means the absolute world to me, and I want to share it with you all today, also because it is a timeless classic. Good ol’U2.
This is to all the wonderful friends I have made in my life that have come and gone, but have left their mark deep within my soul, to those special people that have helped changed the course of my life and how I see the world whether we always saw eye-to-eye or not.

I’ve been grieving my own losses lately; always a process of reassessment and readjustment. It’s been an exhausting past few weeks.
Today is my birthday, and despite my recent trepidation about it considering the events of my last birthday, I’m feeling in good spirits. I went to see my little girl perform in another school concert yesterday evening, which was great. 🙂
I do at least have my week away to look forward to, yes I finally got around to booking my trip back to Venice. Although my friend is unable to come with me due to bad health, so it’s just me again. But actually I’m fine with that. I need to be able to just be on my own time-table for a while. I’m looking forward to it, excited to be returning to my favourite city, it’s good for my soul. I go on the 13 August, so not long to go now 🙂
