This week’s theme is focussing on the horizon. I think every photographer has got their collection of horizon shots, as I have mine. I have a particular collection of shots taken over the Adriatic as I island-hopped around Venice, that I like because of their sparseness, with distant structures barely visible breaking up the line of the horizon. I have presented most of them in black and white, and added a vivid colour shot where the water looks to me like deep dark blue velvet.

Wonderful horizons, and an equally beautiful city. Thanks for the great pictures!
Thank you for your wonderful comments, and your much appreciated visits 🙂
A beautiful gallery Ishaiya. That deep velvety blue is absolutely gorgeous!
Lovely collection of shots, dynamic colours too! 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Steve! 🙂
I can see where your heart lays …. great entry – beautiful photos. My favorite is the last image.
Thank you Viveka [smile]
Your images give life to one’s daydreams to live beyond where they are in precious moments. Many wish that they might really see the places you share, but then they do through your genuine heart! You are blessed with eyes that are able to easily capture beautiful moments! Blessings!
Beautifully and poetically said. I am honoured to be blessed with such wonderful words. Thank you so much, it really means a lot that you took the time to stop by and comment.
Blessings to you too!
Number two — the one leaving Venice on the ferry (?). It ties with the one Madhu mentions as “the deep velvety blue”. I just love horizons (The Spouse says I spend too much time horizontal).
Actually I think that was heading back to Saint Mark’s tower, with the colour photo taken a short while after as we were coming into dock.
Does the sun set behind you then?
Down here the sun goes backwards. It takes some getting used to …
