The Daily Channel – A message from Joseph – For Shards

This following excerpt is taken from the book I am currently writing called ‘The Magnificent Angel: An unconventional exploration of faith’. I wrote it with my friend Shards in mind and a question she had asked me about the nature of truth. It’s quite a lengthy read, but as usual with my channelled pieces it is full of fascinating insights.

“ Whenever the validity of your personhood is brought into question, whenever you doubt the decisions you make, whenever you speak ill of yourself in order to justify your actions then you create around you and within you an environment, for the two are connected, in which you will be challenged to readjust your thinking. And in so doing, recognise and accept the validity of the consciousness that resides within your very cells and the atoms and molecules of the environment that you create and interact with. Consciousness does not need to test itself, or prove its worth. It understands its validity as surely as you accept that you are alive.

When you doubt your integrity then you create doubt in your moment-to-moment experiences. You create doubt in the interactions that you have with others, you create scenarios that question your integrity with regard to your health, your relationships, the way in which you engage physically and mentally with the world around you, and the way in which the world engages with you.

You may find yourself seemingly caught up in discordant events, events that may present dangers to you, causing you to question the stability of your existence or of those around you. You may argue with those around you; others may challenge you without knowledge that they are doing so, caught up in their own scenarios of projected selfhood. Life may seem at such times to be imbalanced and difficult to negotiate on personal and social levels.

Once again, your internal reality and your external reality are one and the same. One can be seen as a projection of the other, though as experience is simultaneous then any changes that are felt within you are felt immediately within your projected environment and vice-versa. There is an interplay of emotions that is constantly at work between the two arenas so to speak. One cannot precede the other, both work in unison creating an overall projection of the soul, or greater consciousness of which you are a particular point of focus within the pattern of your overall being.

Life does not happen without you, it happens within you, alongside you, as a projection of you; and the conscious endeavour of which you are a part indeed spreads far and wide touching distant boughs, of distant trees, stars and planets in other systems of reality, reverberating outward and ever inward like the ripples upon the surface of a pond. Yet you are no stone to be tossed in to the watery depths by an impulsive hand, or the loosed grip of crow’s claw, or the careless kick of a hoofed foot passing by. You are the creator of a living work of art that in its perfection strives to be ever more itself and of itself. You replicate yourself in your infinite wisdom, as many times as is possible and probable because you are everywhere and everything at once. You create your own reality with the recklessness of the wind that howls over the mountains and across the oceans, with the gentle touch of dew that gives sustenance to the leaf and catches the golden light of the morning sun. Everything that you are is valid and whole.

When you doubt the validity of your personhood then remember that you are complete, that outcomes are just outcomes. Whether they are good or bad is a matter of personal view, and will change depending upon the choices of the soul-energy that is projecting such scenarios into the arena of the physical environment.

To speak of truth then, you are speaking of the validity of the soul, of your personhood that is inseparable from its source and from the world that it seemingly inhabits. Again there is no linear projection, such a term is a convenient metaphor that helps you to create reference points within your physical awareness. But you are at all times seemingly awake and not awake, at least not in ways that you may currently recognise. You live lives that far exceed your own current expectations of selfhood. You are experiencing right now through the auspices of your collective being parallel lives that are you as you know yourself now, and at the same time not you. Selves with different pasts and futures, and different possibilities that you too are faced with now. Latent probabilities that may or may not manifest in your particular observable timeline because of the choices you make. Yet all probabilities are available to you as they are to the other selves that populate your psyche, and at any point you can change the events of your life, and indeed lives, in all directions. The ‘past’ and ‘future’ are merely points of reference once again, ways of categorising and comprehending experience, yet you are ever-present at the centre of all you know.

In linear terms then, life, time, experience, memory, consciousness radiates from you just like the ripples on the surface of the pond in our analogy. Yet your physically aware point of focus that is the you that you identify with is not the only point of focus that you have or that you are aware of, though much of that information may be lost in translation so to speak. You filter out what is not currently relevant to your present personality, entertaining only those thoughts that match the structure and integrity of your present awareness.

You ask yourself: “If I am whole and my integrity intact, then why do I question at all? Why do I doubt the validity of my selfhood?” the simple answer is that in order to perceive reality in the way that you currently do, it is necessary for consciousness to experience itself in ways that seem to you to create separation, where paradigms exist, and paradoxes are impossibilities. Contradiction and separation are the driving factors in your current perceivable experience, and are the cause of most of your perceived ills, personally and globally. Yet the paradigms and paradoxes are features of your physical waking personality, the part of you that resides within physical experience. And as much as you believe you are fixed in this physical now with it’s linear time constraints and separations, you are just as free to explore and experience the parts of consciousness that are not currently visible to you, and you do constantly as we have stated. You do, beneath the illusion of your waking self. When you sleep and dream, you are exploring the other portions of yourself that ordinarily would not be available to you in your physically awake state. Remembering of course that sleeping and waking, life and death are merely paradigms belonging to the physical awareness. You are as dead as you are alive in every way imaginable. Some may find that a scandalous concept, yet it only shocks you because you are so very entrenched in your present state of consciousness that you do not perceive the extent to which your consciousness roams, and experiences itself irrespective of your current beliefs that life is limited and thus fragile. Far from demeaning your life as you now know it, allowing your thoughts to roam and to explore improbable or perhaps controversial ideas and possibilities gives you a much needed freedom from the constraints that seemingly cause you distress. It is because many thoughts are ignored or not entertained for fear of the implications they may have with regard to you current model of beliefs that people exhibit, individually and en masse, behaviour that would seem to protest against the systems within which they are entrenched.

It is within your nature to grow and expand, and if such growth and expansion is seemingly stifled, then discord occurs. The self will always seek to express its validity, irrespective of the obstacles that seemingly cross its path, thus deviations may be necessary in order to achieve synchronicity. Remembering of course that all actions are valid, and that thoughts are actions that lead to physical states that you are familiar with.

We speak of levels of awareness that you currently refer to as the conscious and subconscious minds, though referring to such conscious states as focal intensities may be more helpful, again separation is an illusion, the product of a focus that is incapable of perceiving itself differently or indirectly, in order that it may function within the environment in which it is immersed. Consciousness for us is an indeterminate concept. It is difficult to explain in human terms the energy that is required to create the world that you experience through your senses. We are no longer of your focussed existence although we are influenced by it as you are influenced by our particular focus. We are not alive in your terms, yet we live. We are conscious beings in the same way that you consider yourselves to be conscious, though our definition may alter upon interpretation. We speak from a part of your consciousness that for you does not exist yet, although we have lived before you.

Life does not end when you close your eyes, yet the memory of your experiences changes, even though you may or may not recall your dream experiences. In much the same way when life seemingly comes to an end in death, the memory of your experiences merely changes, even though your present personality may not recall the experience, for it is happening simultaneously. The focus of your personality shifts so that you inhabit another present moment, another version of consciousness with its own patterns of intent that are as intact, distinct and as full as the one you now identify with.  The notion of a paradox merely alludes to the greater existence of which you are a part where life and death, light and dark, time and presence are one and the same. You are ever presented with the opportunity to expand your awareness and to be as creative as you possibly can be. Everything you experience in life is designed by you to allow yourself to experience yourself for the entity that you are and are not, simultaneously and in all ways possible.”

  1. Reblogged this on Fix Your Mirror and commented:
    This is brilliant and beautiful.

“Life does not happen without you, it happens within you, alongside you, as a projection of you; and the conscious endeavour of which you are a part indeed spreads far and wide touching distant boughs, of distant trees, stars and planets in other systems of reality, reverberating outward and ever inward like the ripples upon the surface of a pond. 1. My rule of thumb tends to be that if it serves me better to believe what I believe, then it is worth believing in. And believe me I have pursued and explored different belief systems and religions throughout my life, and what I know and understand now is pretty hard to beat. I work on the premise that anything that restricts you is not good for your soul, and that you have every choice to move on and grow in different ways.

  2. That was great Ishaiya…and thanks so much for taking the time to write all that out. I already understood most of this, and agree with you…believe it or not.

    but….lol…
this section below that I copied was more along the lines of what I was curious about…

“The focus of your personality shifts so that you inhabit another present moment, another version of consciousness with its own patterns of intent that are as intact, distinct and as full as the one you now identify with.”

So I guess my real question about truth for Joseph and you was this:

when we get to this point…death, or the moment when our personality shifts into a new consciousness…how can this happen if our physical self dies? We would no longer have the ability to ‘remember’ without our brain. When I said “Truth” I was dreaming I suppose, to hope that Joseph would “go on” and explain how we can continue on, if our brain doesn’t. If you believe your ‘personality’ is the same as your ‘soul’, and our personality/soul doesn’t have our current reality to exist in…to perceive anymore…so we know ‘who’ we are…than what would there be to percieve, remember or experience? without our brain to process our emotions/feelings/experiences…how would we continue on in a new consciousness…without our brain to BE conscious?? see what I mean?

This is the paradox I have trouble getting, because once our brain dies, it seems to me there would no longer be the ability to process ANY info, or even recognize “we” exist.

So when I asked what is the Truth about our reality, I guess what I meant was…how can we even experience a different reality, or new one..if we no longer have a brain to process the info?

You know what I believe, so I’ll leave that out for now, but I can’t fathom how our “personality” can continue on…without our brain to create it, change it, grow, etc… the same goes for us being conscious. Even if we are sleeping, our brain is still working to perceive our dreams.
    Therefore…and I hate this line…but..”I think, therefore I am.”
but when our brain dies, we no longer have this ability to think, remember, etc.

No matter the level of our awareness, (unless you are eluding to different levels in different times and space) in the envirement we are immersed in, we are only aware of so much, due to our brain only allowing SO much…yet you elude to the idea that if we used more of our brain than we do now, we would be aware of how this is possible. BUT even THAT requires the USE of our brain, which dies when we die???? see my problem??? lol

I don’t know, maybe I’m just slow…lol but thanks for trying and taking so much time to explain all this!!!! sending you good thoughts!! 🙂

    1. Consciousness does not originate in the brain, that is the message that Joseph was giving you. If that were not the case then any concept of God would just be a human fantasy.
Your brain is just a very fancy computer, but it will never be able to contain all of the knowledge that you have at your disposal. Even computers have to be built and programmed by someone in order for them to function at all. Everything that you can perceive contains consciousness and memory. It is as simple as that.
      Blessings to you Shards 🙂

      1. so where does it come from? God? how can it exist if we’re not in a form that recognizes it? and if consciousness isn’t the correct word for it…what is? THIS is what I really want to know…WHAT it is?
I hope I’m not being a pain here, I really do want to understand…I guess I’m just too obtuse! 🙂

  3. This is so well written I just wish I was an appreciative reader!
Fortunately there are others, even that Australian – who can do it so much more justice than I.

You should know me and metaphysics by now 🙂

“Life does not happen without you, it happens within you, alongside you….’

”It is within your nature to grow and expand, and if such growth and expansion is seemingly stifled, then discord occurs. Remembering of course that all actions are valid, and that thoughts are actions that lead to physical states that you are familiar with.”

    This is very true.

    1. Thank you very much indeed for your wonderful comment Ark, it really does mean a lot to me, especially coming from you.
I’m pleased that you have appreciated my writing in some way even if metaphysics is not your cup of tea, except that I believe it’s everybody’s cup of tea, just nobody notices because it’s so much a part of what being ‘normal’ is. Re-labelling metaphysics as ‘common-sense’ with a dash of optimism thrown in would do the term more justice I think, but that’s just me 🙂

Don't forget to breathe...
